Carved and printed around April 18, 2008
12"x9" (originally a square, cropped) Another self portrait. This was my first print of any kind. It was much harder than expected, and I'm not very good at obtaining dark grays with my hatching. Background information for the piece: A lot of derogatory remarks are made towards E. Asians because of our small eyes and characteristic epicanthal folds, even though not every East Asian has one. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
